GrOW West Africa
Call for Proposals
The Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) West Africa initiative seeks to spur transformative change to advance gender equality in the world of work. It builds on the legacy of the recently concluded successful multi-funder GrOW program.
We invite proposals from individual organizations partnering with key stakeholders or consortia of multiple organizations, for evaluative or action research projects to provide evidence, practical tools and guidance to guide actions to build back a better and more equal world for women. The goal is to enhance effective and evidence-informed policies, programs, and interventions on unpaid care, scalable childcare solutions, and changing norms around domestic work to address persistent gender economic gaps in Western Africa.
This call will fund Southern organizations. Applications must be submitted by registered or incorporated organizations in the countries covered by the call (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Senegal). Research must be done in one of the countries of focus.
GrOW West Africa will fund two types of projects: (1) evaluative research projects and (2) action research research projects, allocating up to CA$500,000. Evaluative research projects can be up to 24 months in duration. Action research projects can be up to 36 months in duration. Four to seven projects are likely to be funded through this call. Final grant size and number of grants will be determined after the selection of proposals and assessment of value for money.
To complete an online application, select ‘Apply’. In case of the proposals involving multiple organizations, the lead organization should submit a single application on behalf of those involved.
